Dr. Candy Tsourounis is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Tsourounis contributes to the Department’s Medication Outcomes Center, which conducts medication-related research and evidence-based analyses, evaluates pharmaceutical models of care, contributes to continuous quality improvement, implements value-added strategies and improves patient outcomes within the UCSF Medical Center and its affiliated institutions.
Dr. Tsourounis has over 20 years of experience working in drug information centers and providing medication and dietary supplement information to consumers. She coordinates and teaches a drug information course for student pharmacists at UCSF which focuses on consumer communication strategies, health literacy and drug information interpretation. She has also developed an expertise within the area of dietary supplements as is passionate about helping consumers use dietary supplements in a responsible and evidence-based approach.
