In addition to his role as the Director of the Mount Sinai Physiolab, Dr. Arad is a scientist and clinician with a broad and extensive experience in research and clinical management of individuals with and at risk for chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, obesity, and heart disease. Dr. Arad is an expert in nutrition, physiology and metabolism and holds a PhD in Nutrition and Physiology from Columbia University and has additional clinical training and expertise as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. His doctoral work in the area of metabolism and physiology of individuals with and at risk for type 2 diabetes received the prestigious Columbia University Provost Award. Dr. Arad is a former division one and professional soccer player. He currently lives in NYC with his wife Idit and their daughter Noya, and when not in the clinic, you will see him travel, play sports, or training for his next marathon!
