When my brother was in the hospital with cardiomyopathy at 23 I was 17. To save me having to update family and close friends they designated one of my uncles to be the primary contact. They could focus on my brother and know they had taken a lot of the pressure off of me. When he was out of the hospital and back home they sent me to Sweden for 2 blissful weeks of not being told my brother was being prayed for by someone's church.
